Dr. Alan Alberts, MD
Dr. Alberts is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He joined West Broward Rheumatology Associates in 2002, after 8 years as the Director of the Division of Rheumatology at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Boston University, and after graduate studies in Boston, he studied medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine / Tel Aviv University. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were completed at the North Shore University Hospital / Cornell University Medical College and the Memorial / Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at the North Shore University Hospital / Cornell University Medical College. His interests include collecting classic writing instruments and timepieces. He and his wife, Nancy, a registered nurse and prominent local instructor of Mah Jongg, are the proud parents of 2 children.
